Easily make API requests with various output customization options, access a collection of over 1k images, and use a user-friendly dashboard for statistics and helpful information.

What is the Kawaii API?

The Kawaii API is an API that provides a random image functionality primarily designed for use in Discord bots. With its extensive collection of anime images, it enables the creation of various commands. One of the major advantages of using this API instead of gathering the images yourself is the continuous addition of new images. These images are regularly checked for errors and all have optimal resolutions to ensure fast loading and suitability for use on Discord.

Why should I use the Kawaii API?

If you're not a fan of anime, you can skip this section. However, if you enjoy anime, this API is perfect for you. You don't have to be a developer to benefit from this API—simply explore the anime images if you're interested. For developers, it's a great time-saving tool, as collecting thousands of images on your own can be tedious. The API allows you to request a wide variety of anime GIFs and easily integrate them into your bot. If you're unsure what I'm referring to, you can check out the example on the main page or invite the example bot.

How do I use the API?

Using the API is straightforward. It involves making simple website requests and extracting the response from the web server, which can be directly utilized. The API is designed to be as user-friendly as possible, with standard output provided for each endpoint and the option to specify additional arguments. In case of an empty request or an error, you can easily check the dashboard to determine whether it was an API error or an incorrect request.

What is the token for?

The token serves to associate requests with a Discord user in order to display user stats in the dashboard. No personal data is stored, and more detailed stats are deleted after a short period. If you prefer not to log in, you can simply enter "anonymous" instead of a token, although this will result in the exclusion of any stats and error support.

I have an idea but there is no endpoint for it.

If you have any suggestions for improvement, specific requests, or ideas for new endpoints, please share them in the #suggestions channel on the support server. Your suggestion will be reviewed and implemented as soon as possible if it meets the criteria. Please ensure that all suggestions comply with the sfw (safe for work) policy.
